About Taryn

Taryn has over two decades of dedicated experience in the aged care, community services, and mental health sectors, Taryn is a seasoned professional committed to making a positive impact in people’s lives. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion, a postgraduate qualification in Business Law, Lead Auditor certification, and a role as a Mental Health First Aid facilitator, Taryn possesses a unique skill set that reflects her diverse expertise.

Taryn’s professional journey is marked by a deep understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity, evident in her Noongar and Yawuru cultural awareness. Her passion lies in empowering participants to lead their best lives and providing steadfast support to organizations in achieving this goal. Taryn’s commitment to supporting the Mental Health of employees and community members sees her facilitate Mental Health First Aid training all over Western Australia.

Currently an Auditor with Assured Auditing, Taryn has served as an Executive, General Manager and Specialist Support Coordinator in NDIS providers in Western Australia, Taryn oversaw legal compliance, quality assurance, governance, systems, operational processes, and managed a small caseload of Coordination Participants. Her executive leadership extends across Statewide Mental Health and NDIS providers, where she worked closely with communities spanning the Kimberley, MidWest, Gascoyne, Pilbara, Goldfields, Great Southern, and the Perth Metropolitan area.

Taryn’s leadership is not confined to the boardroom; she has chaired First Nations Reference Groups and played a pivotal role in the development of Reconciliation Action Plans. Prior to her executive roles, Taryn contributed to WA Sexual Health services, Curtin University, and Edith Cowan University, engaging in social research. She also served as a physiotherapy assistant in an aged care provider.

Specialising in NDIS Core providers, Support Coordination, and Specialist Support Coordination, implementing Restrictive Practices in WA, Mental Health providers and Therapy providers. Her collaborative approach was honed through codesign and coproduction principals whilst working alongside communities throughout Western Australia, where she has become an integral part of positive change and community development. Taryn’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals and fostering community well-being sets her apart as a leader in the field.
